One random afternoon I am with Richard and the crew working on my tan on the stunning Diani beach (Yes, Africans work on their tan too.. :-)) when I get a message requesting for a meeting in Nairobi with a new club that was opening soon.
We arrange for a Skype call/meeting the next morning during which I meet the gentlemen behind this new spot. They charmingly convinced me to host the opening night which I oblige to because they are such awesome people!
Fast forward to the opening day and I am back in Nairobi making the final plans with the boys running around. The end result is a lovely cozy invite only night with fantastic guests.
The dress code was LBD for ladies (Little Black Dress) and smart casual for the gentlemen.
Ebony Lounge is a venue for those who cherish their public privacy, but who aren’t innately private – i.e. the kind of people who want to dance their feet off on a Friday night but don’t want the world knowing about it. The entrance has an age restriction of 25 and above. It is open seven days a week with theme nights for the evenings. Here are a few of them:
Back to the opening.. The crowd was fun, the music upbeat and the atmosphere enticing 🙂 Here are 100+ pictures of the fun times we had….
