Tom Wlaschiha: The Highlight of Game of Thrones Season 2.

Movies

As the curtain fell on Game of Thrones Season 2, nothing saddened me more than bidding my favorite character Jaqen H’ghar (Tom Wlaschiha) goodbye. Tom is a brilliant actor whose presence is felt long before a word leaves his beautiful mouth. When he was first introduced to us in that cage I actually sat up in my chair, my curiosity aroused.

He did not disappoint throughout the season, his performance outstanding in every scene.

And yes, I may have wished for a second that I was in Arya’s shoes when he said come with me 🙂 To Tom, may his star burn scorchingly in the days to come. Word has it he is already lined up to act alongside Chris Hemsworth in Rush (2013). A few pictures for my best friend’s viewing pleasure 😉

Similarities Between the Transformers Movies and the Avengers Movie

Movies

I just watched the Avengers movie and enjoyed every second of it immensely. However, I could not help notice some common elements (spoiler alert for those who have not yet watched them). Here we go…..

1. In the first transformers there in the allspark, a cube which a source of unlimited energy. In the avengers, there in the tesseract, a cube which a source of unlimited energy.

The Allspark

The Tesseract

2. In both movies, there are family ties between the good guys and the bad guys. Optimus Prime is Megatron’s brother and Thor is Loki’s half brother.

3. Both villian teams manage to open a portal connecting two planets to earth.

Portal connecting earth to cybertron in Transformers Dark of the Moon

4. Once the portal was opened in both cases, the alien ships that came through looked quite similar…..

Movie 2: The 50/50 Challenge: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

Movies, The 50/50 Challenge

Based on the book by Stieg Larsson, the movie The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is intense, captivating and a must watch in my opinion. Stieg died on 9th November 2004 of a heart attack.

His lifelong partner, Eva Gabrielsson writes about him in “There Are Things I Want You to Know” About Stieg Larsson and Me. Here is an excerpt from Vanity Fair Online

I appreciate Daniel Craig as an actor and I feel that he did well in this film. In this day and age of CGI it is refreshing to watch a movie whose storyline and acting keep you on the edge of your seat through the entire flick. If I have not been convincing enough, here are five reasons to watch The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo by themoviebanter.com
